University of South Australia Awards Scholarships are internationally recognized scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government. Eligibility Criteria
Apart from fulfilling other application requirements, applicants must also satisfy the following conditions:
- Prospective Australia Awards Scholarship recipients are required to enter into an agreement with the Commonwealth of Australia, signifying their commitment to abide by the scholarship’s terms and conditions.
- As part of these terms, scholarship awardees are obliged to return to their home countries and stay outside of Australia for a minimum of two years after completing their scholarship.
- Failure to meet this commitment will result in scholars accruing a debt equivalent to the total cost of their scholarship.

Where and how to apply
Before applying, check your application period and deadline for your country. Select your country from the list for application details. Some countries allow online applications, while others require physical submissions. See your country’s profile for specific instructions.
Online Application Steps:
- Visit your country’s profile for the application portal link.
- Please note that Indonesia and the Philippines use a different system; find their application links in their respective Country Profiles.
- Register online, answer eligibility questions, and receive a unique registration number, username, and password.
- Create a draft application and update it, including supporting documents, until your country’s closing date.
- Submit well before the deadline as OASIS gets busy, causing possible delays.
By-Mail Application Steps:
- If you can’t apply online, choose a mail-in application. Visit your country’s profile for contact details to obtain a physical application form and templates like referee reports if needed.
- Fill out the hard copy application form and gather all required documents.
- Submit your completed hard copy application and documents by your country’s specified deadline.
Deadline
The closing date for the University of South Australia Awards Scholarship is 3 May 2023 for most countries, with the exception of Papua, where the closing date is 1 August 2023. Please note that the application period for Papua is currently closed.
