MIU City University Miami provides scholarships for eligible students each semester. Scholarship eligibility may depend on various factors, and there is a limited number of scholarships available for each intake period. Students can apply for only one of the listed scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria
1. European, African, Asian, Latin American and Middle East Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship
MIU offers scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% of tuition costs to individuals who have graduated from recognized educational institutions in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, or the Middle East. These scholarships are available for those interested in pursuing online studies at MIU City University Miami.
2. OAS Scholarship and Training Programs
MIU City University Miami (“MIU”) is committed to offering quality education and aims to partner with the GS/OAS to support scholarship and training programs for citizens of OAS Member States.
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Nationals and/or permanent legal residents of any of the GS/OAS Member States are eligible. The list of OAS Member States can be found here.
- The candidate should not have received other academic scholarships from the OAS at the same level of studies proposed in this call.
- The candidate must have completed the admission process and been admitted to the MIU study program.
- Prior to starting any program, all scholars must demonstrate their financial capacity to cover the costs of the program not covered by the scholarship within an established timeframe.
- GS/OAS officials, individuals under results contracts with the SG/OAS, staff of the Permanent Missions to the OAS, and relatives of the aforementioned individuals are not eligible to receive the scholarships.
3. Mescyt and Miu Scholarship for Students from the Dominican Republic
These scholarships are specifically designed to assist exceptional students from the Dominican Republic in pursuing advanced education and professional development through a higher university degree.
To be eligible for this scholarship:
- Applicants must be Dominican citizens, either residing in the Dominican Republic or abroad or children of Dominicans living abroad.
- Applicants should have completed their higher education with a minimum academic index of 80 on a scale of 0 to 100, or a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 0 to 4.0.
4. Global Leaders’ Scholarship
MIU provides a limited number of scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition costs for online programs offered in both Spanish and English. These scholarships are aimed at individuals who have demonstrated leadership in various fields, such as academics, science, film, sports, politics, and more.
5. US Working Professional Residents and Citizens Student Scholarships
MIU offers scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% of tuition costs to working US citizens and residents who intend to enroll in an online program.

Scholarship Value
- European, African, Asian, Latin American and Middle East Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship: MIU provides scholarships covering 10% to 50% of tuition expenses.
- OAS Scholarship and Training Programs: The scholarship covers all online programs, and each recipient is awarded a tuition waiver equal to 60% of the published tuition amounts for the applicable program at the time of application to the university.
- Mescyt and Miu Scholarship for Students from the Dominican Republic: A full scholarship (100% of tuition and fees).
- Global Leaders’ Scholarship: Up to one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition costs may be covered by the scholarship.
