Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) is located in Kogi State, Nigeria, along the Okene – Lokoja – Abuja Road in Osara Town. Its history dates back to the establishment of a Farm Centre in 1958, which later became part of Kwara State Polytechnic, then Kogi State Polytechnic, however, on paper, the school was established in 2020.
CUSTECH officially began operations in 2021, inheriting the infrastructure from the former institutions. The University’s name is derived from Kogi State’s nickname, the “Confluence State,” due to the meeting of Rivers Niger and Benue. The state is known for its diverse ethnic groups and thriving agricultural and mineral resource sectors. CUSTECH aims to contribute to the educational landscape of Kogi State alongside other higher institutions in the region.
