In Nigeria, Colleges of Education (COE) are set up to meet the demand for skilled teachers nationwide. These institutions fall into three categories, They are Federal, State, and Private COEs, and have also been approved by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) to grant Nigerian Certificates in Education (N.C.E.) to qualified students after graduation.
