Gombe State University (GSU) is a state-owned university located in Gombe State, Nigeria. It was established in 2004 by the Gombe State Government under the leadership of Governor Muhammad Danjuma Goje. The university was created to address the need for higher education in the state and to provide opportunities for the youth to pursue academic and professional excellence.
GSU started its academic activities with four faculties: Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Sciences, and Faculty of Law. Over the years, it has expanded its academic programs and infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the community and the nation.
