Kwararafa University, often abbreviated as KU, is a private university located in Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria. It was established in 2005 by the Taraba Educational Development Trust Fund (TEDTF) under the visionary leadership of the late Governor of Taraba State, Rev. Jolly T. Nyame.
The university was established with the aim of providing quality higher education to students within Taraba State and beyond. It is named after the ancient Kwararafa Kingdom, which historically covered parts of present-day Taraba State.
Since its establishment, Kwararafa University has been committed to promoting academic excellence, research, and community development. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various fields including Natural and Applied Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Management Sciences, and Education.
