Khalifa Isiyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN) is a private university located in Kano State, Nigeria. The university was established in 2022 following the announcement by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to add a new private university in Kano State. The university’s acronym is KHAIRUN, and it was founded by Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu (Khadimul Qur’an), rahimahulLah, who had a strong desire to establish an educational institution spanning from Kindergarten to the University level. Although Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu did not witness the completion of his ambition due to his passing, his vision was realized with the establishment of KHAIRUN.
The vision of KHAIRUN is to be a world-class teaching and research university that produces educated, self-disciplined, confident, and independent-minded graduates. The mission is to produce educated, morally sound, and skilled graduates who can respond to the challenges of the 21st century. The university’s philosophy embraces openness in the pursuit of knowledge and welcomes intellectually curious students who utilize their talents to contribute meaningfully to society.
