The University of Queensland offers a financial aid package known as Beirne Scholarship to domestic and international students who want to study in the school.
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote and provide assistance for academic excellence among students who are embarking on undergraduate studies in Law at the University of Queensland.

Undergraduate course in any subject offered at the Institution.
Eligibility Criteria
For Domestic Students
You are eligible for this scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
- You are a domestic student.
- You are currently enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) program or a dual degree program that includes the Bachelor of Laws (Honours).
- You can provide evidence of financial need, which may include documents such as Centrelink statements, Australian Taxation Office (ATO) statements, or information about your family’s income.
For International Students
To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Have applied for admission as international student at UQ but have not yet started their studies at UQ.
- Submit an application in the prescribed format by the specified closing date, as determined by the Head.
- Not currently hold another scholarship that the Head deems to be similar to this one.

Citizens of Australia, Permanent Residents, and International Students from any part of the World.
Host Institution
The University of Queensland, St Lucia, Australia.
Scholarship Value
This scholarship offers a reduction in tuition fees ranging from 25% to 50% or a fixed annual amount of $8,000 for a maximum of up to 5 years.

For Citizens and Permanent Residents:

For International Students:
It is the same for International Students except that the online application form link is temporarily unavailable.
