Categories
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS)
300-level students studying Science & Technology-related courses, in any Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS)
This is open to 200 & 300 level Blind students studying any course in any of the Public Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education.
Top 10 UTME Scholarship
The top 10 high scoring candidates of UTME automatically qualify for the MTN top 10 UTME scholarships. The is available to the top 10 irrespective of their preferred course of study or Tertiary Institution/
Program of Study
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS): Science and Technology related courses
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS): Any course or programme they want to study at the University.
- Top 10 UTME Scholarship: Any programme. Any programme is eligible for the Scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
- The scholarship is open to Nigerians who are studying in the country.
- The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) requires STEM students in public universities and colleges of education to have a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second class upper credit).
- STEM students in public polytechnics need a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from their OND program and must be admitted into an HND program.
- Direct entry STEM students must also have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from their OND program and must have secured admission into the 300 level/3rd year of a public university.
- The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) requires blind students in universities or colleges of education to have a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Blind students in public polytechnics must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 from their OND program and must have secured admission into an HND program.
Target Group
The target group is Nigerian Students.
Host Institution
Federal and State Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education in Nigeria. Students from Private Institutions are not eligible for the Scholarship.
Scholarship Value
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS): 300 eligible students will be awarded N300,000 until graduation.
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS): 100 blind students will receive scholarships amount valued at N300,000 and be awarded until graduation if grade requirements are met.
- Top 10 UTME Scholarship: 10 high-scoring candidates in the Jamb UTME Exam as officially declared by the examination board will receive N300,000.
