Global Affairs Canada International Scholarships Program is one of the most sought scholarship programs that Students from eligible countries apply for every year. It provides cash support for students to study at any of the top universities in Canada or eligible countries.

Field of Study
Short-term Exchange Programs for international students, faculty, and researchers to study and carry out research for 4 to 12 months.
Eligibility
It is very important for foreign students to meet all the requirements to participate in the exchange program. If there are other requirements, it will be communicated to you by your home institution:
- Students must come from eligible countries.
- The students must be studying full-time in an eligible country or territory.
- The potential beneficiary must also be paying school fees to the institute in that country at the time of application and for the duration of the exchange.
Target Countries
- Sub-Saharan Africa: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda
- Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia.
- Asia: Bangladesh, Nepal, and Taiwan
- Europe: Türkiye, and Ukraine
Host Institution
Canadian-based Universities/an institution in an eligible country or territory.
Scholarship Value
Successful postgraduate students will get up to $12,700. This is expected to cover Tuition fees, visa fees, work permits, transportation, health insurance, and other eligible expenses.
Application Instruction
Students who want to study in Canada under this scholarship will need to ask their international office if they have an exchange agreement with the Sponsors. It is only your institution that can select and apply on behalf of the applicants who meet the eligibility and admission requirements for the Canadian partner institution. Schools should follow the below instructions to apply on behalf of the students:
- Create an account to apply on behalf of your students. If you have already signed up, you can log into your account.
- Click Study in Canada Scholarships program in the “For Non-Canadians” section and click on “Apply Now”
- Complete the form and click “Submit”.
- Print out the forms.
Deadline
The last day for Canadian schools to send in online applications for students is on March 21, 2023. Since the date has elapsed, then the application period is closed for the academic year. We will update you when the establishment starts taking new applications.
