The Destination Australia program provides funding to eligible tertiary education providers, allowing them to offer scholarships to both domestic and international students. These scholarships are intended to support students in their studies and living expenses while they study and reside in regional Australia.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Destination Australia scholarship, students need to meet the following criteria throughout the scholarship period:
- Start a new full-time course of study with an approved education provider in the 2023 academic year.
- The course should fall within the Australian Qualifications Framework levels, ranging from Certificate IV to PhD, and have a duration of one to four years.
- Reside in a regional area both at the beginning of and during the study period, as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure.
For international students, the additional criteria include:
- Maintain a valid student visa for the duration of the scholarship.
- Accept an offer to enroll in a full-time study program registered on CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students).
Target Group
Australian Citizens, Permanent residents as well as International students from any country.
Host Institution
Eligible Tertiary Institutions in Australia.
Scholarship Value
The program provides scholarship funding of up to $15,000 per student, per year, for approximately 551 domestic and international students.
