Boise State University Undergraduate Scholarship 2023/2024 

There are different types of Scholarships available that Undergraduate students can benefit from the prestigious citadel of learning, called Boise State University.

At Boise Uni, you will find various types of scholarships available. Some, like the Foothills, Ridgeline, and Summit Scholarships, are automatically awarded based on specific criteria and deadlines.

If you meet these criteria and apply on time, you can get the Automatic Scholarship. The other will require additional application which we will be guiding you through the process.

Program of Study

Eligible undergraduate programs at Boise State University.

Eligibility

1. Automatic Scholarship

This scholarship does not need an additional application from students and is only given to first-year applicants, this is merit-based and it will be decided based on your academic report. First-year applicants are individuals who have earned fewer than 14 transferrable post-secondary credits after high school.

Additionally, eligibility requires that all necessary admissions materials are received by the International Admissions Office before the deadline.

Not all programs at Boise State are accepted for the Automatic scholarships. To be considered, applicants must be enrolled in an eligible program. Programs that are not eligible are Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiological Science, and Pre-Radiological Science, as well as self-supported and fully online programs.

2. Global Scholarships

Successful applicants will need an additional application to be considered for the Global Scholarships which is only available to International Students.

To be eligible for a Global Scholarship award, students must:

  • Be first-time Boise State University undergraduate degree-seeking students.
  • Applicants must maintain an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.00 (Global Distinction Scholarship) or 3.50 (Global Excellence Scholarship).
  • Enroll in an eligible major. Please note that Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiology, and Pre-Radiology, as well as self-supported and fully online programs, are not eligible for these awards.
  • The application for admission and the application fee must be submitted before students can complete and submit a Global Scholarship application.

The automatic scholarship is for every first applicant while the Global Scholarship is only tailored for Foreign Students.

The Institution that is awarding the Scholarship and where the training and education will take place is Boise State University.

Scholarship Value

Below is the expected amount or value that each beneficiary of the Scholarship is expected to get:

1. Automatic Scholarships for First-Year Applicants

  • Foothills Scholarship | 3.20 – 3.49 CGPA | $2,000 per year | 4 years (8 semesters)
  • Ridgeline Scholarship | 3.50 – 3.69 CGPA | $8,000 per year | 4 years (8 semesters)
  • Summit Scholarship | 3.70 – 4.00 CGPA | $11,000 per year | 4 years (8 semesters)

2. Global Scholarships

  • Global Excellence Award | 3.50 – 4.00 | Up to $18,194 per year | 4 years (8 semesters)
  • Global Distinction Award | 3.00 – 3.49 | Up to $9,097 per year | 4 years (8 semesters)

All applicants can apply online for the Global Scholarships by visiting the Boise State University Undergraduate Scholarship Page for the year 2024.

Deadline

The deadline will depend on the one you are applying for. For the Automatic Scholarship, the application will close on October 1, 2023, while the Global Scholarship closes on March 1, 2024 (11:59 p.m. Mountain Time).
