The President’s Scholarship for World Leaders is part of the UWinnipeg International Students Awards and is also designed for foreign students from any part of the world.
This scholarship is tailored for New international students joining any division of the University for the first time. They can apply for the esteemed President’s Scholarship online. This scholarship recognizes and supports exceptional international students entering the University.
Program of Study
Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, Professional, Applied Continuing Education (PACE), or English Language Program (ELP).
Eligibility
Applicants need to fulfill these requirements:
- They should be international students.
- They should be starting their first year at any program or school.
- They must have achieved a minimum of 80% admission average or an equivalent.
- They should exhibit outstanding leadership qualities.
- They must be accepted into the University before the scholarship deadline.

International Students from any countries including African countries are the target group.

- Undergraduate – 6 International students will get $5,000
- Graduate – 3 International Students get $5,000
- Collegiate – 3 International Students get $3,500

- English Language Program (ELP)**14-week full-time program only – 3 International Students get $3,500
Application Instruction
To apply for admission into The University of Winnipeg, you must follow these steps — Fill out an application for admission. The admissions department will provide you with a UWinnipeg Student number once you begin the application process. Only applications with valid student numbers will be considered.
Next, complete the web application form. It’s crucial to note that incomplete application packages will not be taken into consideration. Each applicant is allowed to submit only one application.
Additionally, students must also submit the necessary documents alongside their applications. Documents not in English should be translated into English. The required documents include a personal statement, a resumé or curriculum vitae (C.V.), and two reference letters.
