Tansian University (TANU) is a private university located in Umunya, Anambra State, Nigeria. It was established in 2007 by the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha under the leadership of Most Rev. Dr. A.K. Obiefuna, Archbishop Emeritus of Onitsha. The university is named after the late Reverend Monsignor Prof. J.B. Tansi, a Catholic priest renowned for his dedication to education and social welfare.
Tansian University was founded with a vision to provide quality education grounded in moral and ethical values. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various disciplines including Natural and Applied Sciences, Management and Social Sciences, Humanities, and Engineering.
