Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program 2023/2024

Study abroad at one of the big and widely recognized institutions, the University of Toronto!

Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program was jointly sponsored by the school and the Province of Ontario to encourage diligence among the students and also as a way of rewarding those who have put in the work in their academics.

There are also other institutions that the Province of Ontario allocates OGS awards to give to deserving domestic and international students. Meanwhile, this will only concentrate on the University of Toronto.

Eligibility

The potential awardee must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a student from an eligible country.

Must also be willing to run on a full-time basis or have already registered for the program on FT.

The applicant should have attained a minimum grade of A or its equivalent in each of the last two completed years of study (calculated on a full-time equivalent basis).

If the student has completed two or more years of graduate studies at the time of application, they must demonstrate an overall average of at least A- (or its equivalent) across all completed graduate courses.

Applicants who may have completed two years or more of graduate studies at the time of application will need to demonstrate an overall average of at least an A or its equivalent on all courses completed.

International students who are studying or planning to study at the University of Toronto under a temporary resident visa (student study permit) are eligible for a set number of OGS awards (valid study permits must be effective as of the graduate units’ OGS international application deadline).

Scholarship Value

The value of the Scholarship is $5,000 per session. It can be received for three consecutive sessions, making it $15,000 received from the School.

Application Instruction

To apply for the OGS (Ontario Graduate Scholarship), you will need to fill out an application through the U of T School of Graduate Studies online portal. Make sure to submit it to your intended graduate unit within their specific deadline. Before applying, take a look at the OGS Application Instructions to get all the details. Once you’ve finished filling out the application and have submitted it online, your proposed graduate unit will have access to review and consider it.

The deadline will depend on the course or program you are studying for. The date ranges from March 1st, 2023 to April 3rd, 2023 (Currently Closed)
