Polytechnics in Nigeria are institutions of higher education Polytechnics that provide technical education programs leading to the award of diplomas and certificates, such as the National Diploma (ND) and Higher Diploma (HND). Polytechnic education can be said to be more practical, while University education is theory-intensive.
All Polytechnics (Federal, State, and Private) listed in this article are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), an educational board tasked with supervising, regulating, and overseeing educational programs offered by technical institutions at secondary, polytechnic, and mono-technic levels.
