Plateau State University (PLASU), located in Bokkos, Plateau State, Nigeria, is a state-owned university established by the Plateau State Government. PLASU was founded in 2005 with the aim of providing quality higher education to the people of Plateau State and beyond.

The university began its academic activities in 2006 with just two faculties: the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences. Over the years, PLASU has expanded its academic programs and infrastructure, striving to meet the educational needs of its students and contribute to the development of the region.
