Kogi State University, Kabba (KSUK) has a great history that began with the approval of its establishment by the Kogi State Executive Council. The decision to establish the university stemmed from a thorough consideration of a bill, with input from a committee tasked with advising the government on its establishment.
Kabba was recommended as the university’s location by the committee, a decision endorsed by the State Executive Council. The bill underwent rigorous scrutiny by the State House of Assembly before being passed into law on June 23, 2023, by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, CON.
