Covenant University is a private Christian university located in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. It was established on October 21, 2002, by Dr. David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel.
The university was founded with a vision to raise a new generation of leaders equipped with academic excellence, moral uprightness, and spiritual values. It aims to provide a conducive environment for holistic education that nurtures the intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth of its students.
Covenant University began its academic activities in April 2002 with just 104 students admitted into two colleges: the College of Business and Social Sciences, and the College of Information and Communication Technology. Over the years, the university has expanded its academic programs and facilities, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various disciplines.
