Canadian Japanese Mennonite Scholarship is the symbol of cooperation between the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), a nonprofit organization, and the Canadian Japanese for abuse during World War II.
In 1984, a group called MCC tendered an apology for the bad things Canadian Mennonites did to Canadian Japanese people during World War II. This scholarship shows that they are now working together.
The scholarship gives $3,000 for research on how to keep the rights of minority groups and people safe in Canada. This helps stop the bad treatment of cultural minority groups. The two groups, the National Association of Japanese Canadians and Mennonite Central Committee Canada, together support this scholarship.
The scholarship will help support and help protect the minority as well as abuse in Canada.
