Augustine University Ilara (AUI) is a private Catholic university located in Ilara, a town in Ogun State, Nigeria. It was established by the Catholic Church under the leadership of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos with the approval of the Nigerian government.
The university was founded in 2015 with the aim of providing quality higher education rooted in the Catholic tradition. It is named after Saint Augustine of Hippo, a renowned philosopher and theologian of the Catholic Church.
