Eligibility Criteria
For Undergraduate Scholarship:
Undergraduate applicants interested in the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Applicants must be Egyptian nationals residing in Egypt (preference is not given to dual nationality applicants).
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 / 90% in Thanaweyya Amma or equivalent high school certificates. (Note: Students completing their grade 11 by the application deadline on July 31, 2023, and those completing their grade 12 by the same deadline are both eligible to apply for the undergraduate scholarship program).
- Demonstrate English Proficiency through TOEFL iBT® with a minimum score of 100 (taken within 2 years).
- Obtain a minimum SAT I Score of 1450 (taken within 2 years) or a minimum ACT Score of 32 (taken within 2 years).
- Showcase involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Plan to commence their studies in the U.S. in the year 2024.
- Not have lived abroad for more than 2 years, with preference given to applicants who have not resided outside of Egypt.
- Commit to returning to Egypt for a period of two years immediately after successfully completing their bachelor’s degree.”
For Graduate Scholarship
Graduate applicants interested in the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Applicants must be Egyptian nationals residing in Egypt (preference is not given to dual nationality applicants).
- Hold a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.5 or higher (cumulative grade).
- Demonstrate English Proficiency through TOEFL iBT® with a minimum score of 100 (taken within 2 years).
- For those applying to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, a minimum GMAT test score of 650 or higher is required (taken within 5 years).
- For those applying to the Master of Engineering program, a minimum overall GRE test score of 315 with an Analytical Writing score of 4.5 is required.
- Show involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Possess a minimum of three years of work experience for MBA applicants.
- Have a minimum of two years of work experience for engineering applicants.
- Plan to commence their studies in the U.S. in the year 2024.
- Have not resided abroad for more than 2 years, with preference given to those who have not lived outside of Egypt.
- Commit to returning to Egypt for a period of two years immediately after successfully completing the degree.
- Male applicants must provide proof of military service completion, exemption, or postponement.

Application process for Undergraduate Degree:
To apply for the Bachelor’s degree scholarship, access the application form online, complete the form, and upload the necessary documents.

- Resume
- Copies of test scores (SAT I or ACT) & TOEFL iBT ® (Taken within 2 years)
- Copies of the latest transcripts
- Copy of grade 12 certificate or Thanaweyya Amma certificate.
